Tigers land seven on All-TCAL teams

After a season which saw Tokay pick up three times as many victories as the year prior, the Tigers were rewarded by placing seven on the All-Tri-City Athletic League teams.
Junior defensive lineman Esteban Chavez, who was a force from his defensive end position, was Tokay's lone representative on the first team.
Seniors Cameron Roth (DL), Kevin Shilue (WR) and Jericho Ibarra (OL) were placed on the second team with juniors Jon Haley (DB) and Michael Hernandez (MLB).
Junior running back Durrell Butler earned an honorable mention nod for the Tigers (3-7, 1-4 TCAL).
St. Mary's senior QB Cody Vaz was chosen as the TCAL MVP after going 64-for-91 for 1,163 yards and 11 touchdowns in league play. He finished the season throwing for 3,843 yards with 32 touchdowns as the Rams ended their season with a 37-34 loss to Cathedral Catholic in the CIF Division II State Championship Bowl game last Saturday.
McNair Head Coach Scott Swartz was chosen as the TCAL Coach-of-the-Year after guiding the Eagles (7-4) to their first Sac-Joaquin Section playoff appearance following consecutive winless seasons.
