Tigers bring back hardware from Lake Tahoe Football Camp


From June 21st to 24th, the Tigers Varsity, Frosh/Soph and Freshman football teams participated in the 5th Annual Lake Tahoe Football Camp.

The camp is run by former Head Coach and Athletic Director Louis Franklin, now the Head Coach at South Tahoe High School,

Tokay won the Trench Wars Linemen Challenge, a competition that involves competing against other teams in five events: Tire Flip Relay, Tackle Ring Stack, Obstacle Course, Big Man Relay and Tug-of-War. The Tigers also lost in the championship game of the 7-on-7 tournament.

Multiple players won individual titles in the Speed & Strength competition and Tokay took home the team title. Winners in the competition included: Junior Dillon Schmidt (Lightweight Line Clean - 195 lbs.), Senior Jordan Godina (Heavyweight Line Back Squat - 375 lbs.), Senior Cory Glasgow (Lightweight Skill Bench Press - 240 lbs., 40-yd. Dash 4.48 sec.), Senior David Cooley-Scott (Heavyweight Skill 40-yd. Dash 4.82 sec.), Senior Josh Kirchner (Heavyweight Skill Bench Press - 235 lbs.), Senior James McClain (Heavyweight Line Bench Press - 275 lbs.), Senior Zach Fleming (Lightweight Line Bench Press - 285 lbs. 40-yd. Dash 4.82 sec.), Junior Nathan Branco (Heavyweight Skill Pro Agility - 4.47 sec.), Senior David Yciano (Lightweight Line Pro Agility - 4.85 sec.), and Senior Kyle D'Anna (Heavyweight Skill Vertical Jump - 31.3").

Seniors Cory Glasgow, James McClain, Zach Fleming, sophomore Ian Lerner and freshman Joe Filippini were all selected to the All-Camp Team.
