Logan Stout set the tone on the first offensive play for Lodi.

Larry McDowell and Myles Lozano made their contributions for the Flames.

For the first time in two Tri-City Athletic League football games, Tokay was able to put points on the scoreboard.

But in Friday’s rivalry and league finale at the Grape Bowl, Lodi was in control. That led to the Flames bringing back the city championship trophy with a 42-8 win over the Tigers in their 46th consecutive meeting. Lodi beat Tokay 22-9 in the 2015 game.

After receiving the opening kickoff, Stout, the Flames’ quarterback, kept the ball on the first play. Fighting off a few Tokay tacklers, Stout cut his way up the middle to an open field and rocketed 59 yards for a touchdown to give Lodi (2-3 in the TCAL, 3-7) a 6-0 lead.
